Bordeaux Mérignac Airport provides 26 scheduled routes plus 33 charter destinations bringing rapid access to the principal European capitals, North Africa and to the Mediterranean area. It is also the Iberian hub for Air France.

A developed network of internal flights and daily TGV connections gives widespread, rapid communications to and from Bordeaux.

Each day 26 TGVs (2h58), 15 shuttle flights Bordeaux / Orly (1h) and 5 Bordeaux/ Roissy link Aquitaine with Paris. Development work will bring from Bordeaux to Paris train journeys to 2h30 within the next 4 years.

With 100 km of estuary giving access to 6 dedicated ports, the Port of Bordeaux handled 8.7 million tons of goods in 2005. The Cruise Liners also benefit from direct access to the heart of Bordeaux. All the large industrial groups present in the region use these infrastructures notably : Smurfit Kappa, Stora Enso, Yara, Gascogne, Ford Aquitaine Industrie, Airbus… The transportation of the elements for the A380 from Germany, England, Spain and Saint Nazaire, NW France, demonstrate the capacity and expertise of the Port of Bordeaux.
