Steris launches its European head office in Bordeaux

The American group Steris Corporation has just launched its European Steris Surgical Technologies centre in Le Haillan in the Bordeaux region. It represented an €8 million investment.

Steris specialises in sterilisation, production and sales of surgical operating tables, surgical lighting and display systems and will be grouping all its activities previously scatted between Switzerland, England and Orleans (France) on a single site.

The Bordeaux site is dedicated to marketing, research, development and production of equipment for operating theatres and training for European and African distributors and has created 61 jobs since its arrival in July. There are 146 employees and they plan to recruit another sixty by 2014.
