Fermentalg, a biotech start-up in Libourne, Gironde, specialized in the research, development and production of micro-algae, has gone into partnership with food group Sofiprotéol to produce and market micro-algae oils rich in omega 3.
These oils obtained using the Fermentalg technology are famed for their nutritional qualities and are mainly destined for the foodstuffs market.
This new venture, which has yet to be named, will be developed by means of industrial investments by Sofiprotéol and its distribution network, and the patent and expertise of Fermentalg.
