The international objectives for Bordeaux are unquestionable. Major urban projects are developing and transforming the urban region whilst retaining its inherent beauty.

Tramway
Using the latest ground powered technology, the tramway is the backbone of Bordeaux’s efficient modern urban transport network. By 2007, 44 kms of track and 84 stations will be the result of this €1 billion investment.

Quayside Development
This highly symbolic project is increasing the attractiveness of the City and the River Garonne is thus becoming the focal point of life in the city once again.

This extensive development programme covers 4 areas and 65,000 inhabitants and will breathe new life into this important part of the Bordeaux area - 106 million euros for a renewal of the right blak of the Garonne.

The Bacalan Bastide Bridge
