Already accredited for its 4 competitiveness clusters , in recent years the Bordeaux region has seen the emergence of other clusters in such strategic fields as health technologies, renewable energies (wind, photovoltaic, marine energy), green building, UAS systems, satellite positioning or smart transport systems.
Several large international groups are running in-house research projects and partnerships with laboratories of Bordeaux University: Lyonnaise des Eaux (Suez Environnement), Rhodia (Solvay), Peugeot, Saft, Eurovia (Vinci), SNECMA (SAFRAN Group).
