Health IT structured around an Aquitaine Health ICT Cluster (lien vers rubrique dédiée et plaquette), the N°1 French region with 1,000 employees, 45% of national turnover in the sector.
Video games: the Bordeaux Games association , includes 26 SMES and 400 employees and coordinates the sector in Aquitaine. The leaders include Betomorrow, Asobo Studio, Concours Mania, Mimesis Republic…
Mobiles, satellite positioning and smart transport: alongside a large number of companies developing mobile applications and cutting-edge know-how in payment, customer loyalty, mapping or marketing…. a sector has formed with 43 companies (including Thales) in satellite navigation and positioning in the TOPOS cluster, with an extension into smart transport. In 2015, Bordeaux will host the ITS international fair (Intelligent Transport Systems).
Heritage digitisation and promotion: with the ARKHOPOLE, an industrial centre for digital heritage activities in the Bordeaux region with many projects such as the POLINUM collaborative platform for research into e-books.
eCommerce: the sector is organised around the French leader Cdiscount and players in training, such as the first e-commerce school in France (ESCEN) or the University of Bordeaux and its degree in eCommerce.
