Ecureuil Assurances IARD
In 1998, Ecureuil Assurances IARD, created their first CRM in Bordeaux. Today with more than 100 employees at their site at Martillac, the company has decided to further confirm its attachment to the Bordeaux region by constructing a second new office here, and will employ a further 100 staff by 2008.
Thales Airborn System
Located in Pessac, a suburb of Bordeaux, since the 70’s, Thales Airborne Systèmes decided in 2000 to delocalise their « Airport Information Systems » activity from 3 regional Paris sites to Bordeaux. More than 70% of their employees chose to relocate to Bordeaux ensuring the overall success of this venture which today employs 500 people in the region.
Eurovia
European leader and 2nd worldwide in road construction, Eurovia wanted to relocate their Research Laboratory to the Bordeaux Region. Since 2003, more than 30 researchers are regrouped in a new building of 2,500m² in the immediate proximity of the airport where they are enjoying a new way of life.
Rhodia’s Laboratory
With an investment of 7 million euros, Rhodia’s Laboratory was opened in Pessac in 2004. This laboratory was in response to Rhodias goal of improving productivity of its research and accelerating the to put its innovations to market. The aim was to assure a competitive advantage with its production procedures.
After having considered several competitive sites in France, Bordeaux secured the project because of the industrial fabric, the reserach laboratories, the commitment of local public bodies and the synergy and commitment of the B.R.A. with the support of its partners to make the project succeed.
