Looking for a Job Bordeaux Region development Agency - Favorable atmosphere for employment

Favorable atmosphere for employment

  • Fourth biggest region for job creation
  • Third strongest region in France for attracting people.
  • Fourth most attractive region for those of working age : new arrivals are strongly represented in the 24-40 age group.
  • A labor pool of 1,4 million, with a growth potential twice as high as the national average.
  • The APEC (Management Employment Association) classes Aquitaine as one of the highest performing regions in terms of number of managers employed.

It expects a growth in management job opportunities between 2010 and 2015. This puts Aquitaine among the four strongest regions in France and ahead of the Paris Basin.

“I tell my American and Asian clients that there is a lot more to Bordeaux than just wine. That the Falcon which they are flying around in was built here. Or again, that Lectra Systèmes is the world leader in laser cutting equipment” asserts Marc Berrebi, CEO of eDevice.

Support networks for job finding

Aside from the existing agencies such as the Pôle d’Emploi (Employment Center) and the Agence pour l’Emploi des Cadres (managers), the Bordeaux Maison de l’Emploi has put in place an original initiative to help spouses of new arrivals find a job. The association offers a four-stage 3-month program, either through group sessions or on a one-to-one basis.

This is a free service, provided in collaboration with the BRA (The Bordeaux Economic Development Agency)
