Bordeaux Region development Agency - Canadian Optics Group Sets Up in Aquitaine

Canadian Optics Group Sets Up in Aquitaine

Canadian optics company Phasoptix is planning to locate a photonics and optics R&D facility in Aquitaine, closely followed by a production plant.

Building on its existing expertise in optics, photonics and lasers, Phasoptix is launching into a new field of development - form-memorizing alloys for connecting optical fibers.

The project is scheduled to come to fruition in mid-2009. Aside from the wealth of technological expertise in the laser optics field available in Aquitaine, their interest was heightened by the close R & D relationship already existing between Phasoptix and laser manufacturers Amplitude Systems.
