Aquitaine Welcomes the Polymers Industry
As a leading region for polymers expertise, the Aquitaine region is organizing and hosting the second Aquitaine Conference on Polymers from 13 through 16 October at Arcachon, on the coast near Bordeaux. The conference will bring together all the leading names in the polymers sector.
It showcases the center of scientific and industrial excellence already established within the Aquitaine region.
This is epitomized by work in the field of new polymers, such as thermoplastics, nano-materials and biomaterials. Between Bordeaux and Pau, there are a number of internationally known organizations, such as LCPO (Laboratoire de Chimie de Polymères Organiques), the Paul-Pascal Research Center and LMCB (Institut de Chimie de la Matière Condensée).
There are already many practical commercial applications, such as polymer-based solar panels, with a great many more to come. In this context, a conference open to anyone who is interested will be held on the theme of "Medications for Tomorrow", on 15 October.
